Barry Red
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
THIS GAME HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
It's a normal day for school punk Barry Red. Time for him to pack it up and head to school.
"Realistic", inflexible, difficult controls provide an infuriating yet hopefully addictive experience for those looking for a challenging platformer. Currently, the available demo provides ~30 minutes of play time. Expect ~3 hours in the finished release.
Supported environments:
- Windows XP, 7, 8, 10 (32-bit)
- Most Linuces (32-bit & 64-bit)
- AmigaOS4 (PPC) (to be announced)
- No graphics card required, but will be slower.

Download
Install instructions
Run the "barryred" executable (the only one there).
Note for Linux players: SDL2, SDL2_image, SDL2_ttf and SDL2_mixer are all required but are not shipped! I remember Debian having weird problems with having a 32-bit and 64-bit SDL2 at once, which is the reason a 64-bit Linux build is shipped at all.

This Game is giving me the Montezuma’s Revenge vibes from Atari.
Hey. I played your game and made a video about it. It was fun. I did not finish the game tho because it felt like it is too difficult to me. I may start making live streams in future where I will play challenging video games. If you want me to delete the video, let me know. However, if you like the video, I make similar videos every day. I will be happy if you subscribe. Anyway, I enjoyed playing your game.
Thank you for playing! I have subscribed, indeed.
Hey, I am trying to run your game, windows mode, but this is all i am getting D= would love to give it a go if you know what I could do =D
I have the same issue. It is because we need a windows 64-bit version. He has only linux here.
It’s strange because it worked on my 2 testing computers. Yes, only two. I’m sorry for this, again, I’ve uploaded a 64-bit version. Perhaps that will work, but I really can’t say for sure.
At least I know to think of this next time.
I’m really sorry for this inconvenience!
I can’t reproduce the issue, I’m afraid, so I had to take a stab in the dark. Try downloading the 64-bit version, now that I’ve uploaded it.
