k4 Demo Suite
A downloadable game
Multiple tiny games made to showcase and test the capabilities of the base k4 game framework
- Heatman & Aquawoman: a 3D platforming puzzle game. Optionally multiplayer.
- Voxel Test: Testing dynamic model generation with a simple, infinite voxel world. Remove blocks with left click. Optionally multiplayer.
- FPS Test: Compete for the main control point in an Quake-like instagib shooter. Multiplayer only.
To play in multiplayer, one player must be chosen as the server host. The host presses the "Peercode" button to find his/her peercode. This peercode must then be given the guest player so he/she knows where to connect to. The guest must copy the host's peercode into their clipboard (Ctrl+C). The host presses "Host" and the guest presses "Join". Wait to connect.
If the connection cannot be established, attempt "hole punching" as so: the guest generates his/her peercode with the "Peercode" button and passes it to the host. The host copies the peercode to the clipboard (Ctrl+C) and presses the "Punch" button. At the same time, the guest presses "Join" again.
If that still does not work, opening the port 26656 is necessary.
Minimum requirements:
- OpenGL 1.5
- Pentium 4 processor
- 100MB RAM
- 250MB disk space
